About Ashburton

Ashburton is a Melbourne, Victoria, Australia suburb located 12 kilometres (7.5 miles) southeast of Melbourne’s Central Business District. Ashburton is well-known for its commercial district, the Ashburton Community Centre, and the Ashburton Library on High Street. The Ashburton Pool and Recreation Centre, as well as the Ashburton Seniors Centre, are located nearby on Warner Avenue.

Ashburton, a predominantly postwar residential neighbourhood.. The name Ashburton came about when the station on the Outer Circle railway line (1890) was named after a previous local councillor, E. Dillon, who had resided in Ashburton Terrace, Cork, Ireland. Ashburton VIC includes a shopping district centred on High Street, two railway stations (Ashburton and Alamein), and a branch of the Boroondara Library.

Our gym is at Brixton Hive, just off High St Rd.Located on the bike path in Glen Iris. Very close (few minutes walk) to Glen Iris station, High St tram, Monash Freeway. Very accessible by public transport, car, walk or ride.
