STRENGTH FOR RUNNING

Mobility and strength are essential for every runner. Those just starting out, maintaining an exercise routine or logging weekly K’s in preparation for your next event.

Our strength for running sessions promote mobility, stability and coordination, which in turn help improve your ability to apply AND absorb the forces involved in running. And while improved posture and functional strength is a positive benefit, our priority is clear – to help keep you doing what you love most. And that’s running.

Our small group sessions allow our expert coaches to support individual training needs & help you improve the speed, volume or consistency of your training.

WOMEN’S STRENGTH

We understand the importance of actively maintaining strength for women. These sessions focus on improving posture, mobility and robust function, while reducing the restrictions often identified by women for participation in walking and running. Our sessions are challenging but not high intensity, and small groups allow us to carefully observe and support individual needs.

Like all Run Ready programs, our women’s strength training promotes improved balance, conditioning and movement for an active life. Whether you are moving around the tennis or netball court, walking around the block, skiing down hills, running around after your family, or just determined to maintain an active lifestyle for decades to come, a strong, well-functioning body is essential.

TEEN STRENGTH

Like our development squad programs that enhance skills and fitness for improved athleticism, our teen strength classes take a holistic view of the individual needs of teenagers. Working in small groups, our coaches identify the current capacity of participants, as well as their areas of interest and motivation. Understanding their particular needs and ensuring that a sound foundation of movement skills and coordination is at the core of our coaching, allows us to build progressions that maximise fitness and strength gains.

Our extensive experience working with teenagers, aligned with our knowledge of adult sporting participation, allows us to bridge the gap between these and ensure that our students are better equipped to continue being active and are encouraged to seek improvement and new challenges through sport.

PERFORMANCE STRENGTH

For current and aspiring performance athletes, 17 years +, our 1:1 or small group sessions allow you to gain the necessary measurable improvements in speed, strength and power that are specific to your sport. Additionally, our expertise in exercise rehabilitation and injury prevention can help you to develop the physical resilience and robust movement capacity that elevates your performance, ready for representative and performance pathways. Assessment required for individual athlete programming.
